TIPS for using accessories:

ASHTRAY

The purpose is only to collect ash that falls through the hole at the base of the boma pitfire or braai. Place the ashtray of the boma pitfire on the ground in line with the hole underneath the base. The ashtray for the braai  should be placed on the cross bar support, near the lower end of the stand, which forms the legs of the braai. Do not make a fire in the ashtray ever. Before you light your next fire, simply remove the ashtray, empty the ash and replace.

CHARCOAL GRID

When you prepare your fire, place the wood or charcoal on it and then light the fire. FUEL We recommend you use wood charcoal or briquettes.

GRIDS

Some are electroplated and are a shiny silver colour and others are made of mild steel. Both will benefit by being stored under shelter. We carry stock to replace the grids whenever needed.

WOK

The aluminium wok pan comes with the manufacturer’s instructions which covers the cleaning and caring instructions.  It should be cleaned and seasoned before use.

POTJIE HOOK

The hook is made of mild steel.

LED LIGHT with STAND

The LED light is battery operated and must be stored under shelter.  The batteries are AAA and will need to be replaced periodically.  Make sure that you turn the light switch off to maintain the battery life of your LED light.
